Beginner (Step-by-Step) WATERCOLOR Painting Classes -

Have you always wanted to learn how to paint in watercolor, but didn't know where to begin?
Have you taken "beginner" classes at other schools only to be told to "start painting" and grouped in with advanced painters, leaving you discouraged and confused? We can change that.
Relax, refresh and recharge your creativity and discover the joy of Watercolor painting In this 2 hour weekly class! Here you will learn how to paint with Watercolors in a relaxing and easy to follow, step by step teaching method that we've successfully used since 1998. Techniques you will learn include color mixing, underpainting, wet on wet, glazing, dry brush and other watercolor techniques and styles as you complete several paintings over 10 weeks.
Student Goals: Discover the fun and joy of Watercolor Painting! Some people think Watercolor Painting is the hardest media to learn or use. But actually, when properly taught, our students dicover that it is an easy, fun, versatile medium that allows for almost unlimited creative exploration.
The goal of this class is for you to gain enough knowledge and confidence to ultimately feel comfortable painting, creating and experimenting with Watercolor Paints on your own. You will learn essential and creative watercolor techniques that you will practice and apply as you create step-by-step in-class paintings.
You will then use the same techniques that you learned in each class to complete practice painting assignments at home. Students will bring their completed homework assignments to class with them to discuss their challenges in completing the assignment and to get assistance in any technical painting problems they encountered while painting on their own.
Class Fee includes all necessary Watercolor Painting Supplies for you to use and keep. One Free Make-up per student.

At Arts Alive in Nanuet, you will learn how to paint with Acrylics in a relaxing and easy to follow, Step-by-Step teaching method that we've successfully used since 1998.
Techniques you will learn include color mixing, underpainting, various painting and blending techniques as you complete several paintings including still life and landscape over 6 weeks.
After completing this class, you will be able to begin to work on your own projects at home and attend some of our other classes and workshops for additional guidance, learning and advancement.
